About Karen Walton Morse

Karen Walton Morse currently serves as Director of Distinctive Collections at the University of Rhode Island.  Previously Karen spent eight years at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she held the position of Processing Archivist and worked with everything from university records to James Joyce manuscripts. She also served as Manager of Library and Archival Services for Historic Hudson Valley (a museum of historic sites headquartered in Tarrytown, New York) for six years.

Karen has been a member of the Academy of Certified Archivists since 2005. She has a MSI with a specialization in Archives and Records Management from the University of Michigan and BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Chicago.

She is on the advisory board for Cornell University Press' Three Hills imprint.
