About Kapil Narula
My career goal is “to provide a leadership role to the world, onto a path of sustainable development” and I have passionately contributed for several years to the global development agenda. I am trained as an energy economist and have a rare combination of a masters’ degree in electrical engineering and a PhD in development studies. This allows me to undertake quantitative, analytical, and conceptual analysis in the increasingly technical field of energy, climate and sustainable development. My versatile work experience in international organizations, national government, industry, think tank and universities pans across South Asia, Europe and MENA region. Managing large teams and projects has been an integral part of my professional work and I have gained an in-depth experience in technical operations, knowledge management, strategic planning, research, policy formulation, resource mobilization, and capacity building for inclusive and sustainable development.
