About Julia Earl

I’m an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University in the School of Biological Sciences.  My research focuses on aquatic terrestrial linkages and the conservation of wildlife.

I am originally from Charlotte, NC and did my undergraduate at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and my masters at Murray State University in Kentucky (with Howard Whiteman).  I received my doctorate in Biological Sciences in 2012 at the University of Missouri under the direction of Ray Semlitsch.  My dissertation focused on the effects of leaves from forest on pond ecosystems and amphibians. Other fun facts about me and my work can be found on my NIMBioS interview profile.

On a more personal side, I enjoy cooking, hiking, knitting, camping and bike riding.
