About Julia Chapman, MD, FACOG

Dr. Chapman has more than 30 years of experience and specializes in diagnosing and treating cervical, ovarian, endometrial, and vulvar cancers. In addition, she also specializes in complex pelvic masses and difficult surgical cases. Dr. Chapman is passionate about teaching, learning, research, and professional leadership. She has served as an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology at The University of Kansas Health System. She has over 12 years robotic surgical experience and 26 years of laparoscopic surgical experience.

Dr. Chapman earned her medical degree from the University of California-Irvine, where she also completed an ObGyn Residency. She went on to complete a Fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital. She then completed a Fellowship in Gynecology Oncology at the University of California, Irvine. She is an active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology Congressional Advocacy Group, the Kansas City Gynecological Society, and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society.
