About Judith Lin Hunt
Judith Lin Hunt served as the Dean of Library Services of Sprague Library from 1996 until her retirement in June 2021. She taught New Student Experience courses for nearly ten years and teaches classes as part of the Library's information literacy program. She has held leadership positions in VALE, ALA, ACRL, and NJLA and has made presentations on various aspects of academic librarianship. She has served on both New England Association of Schools and Colleges and Middle States Commission on Higher Education accrediting teams, and more recently on American Library Association's graduate programs accrediting teams. She has taught as an adjunct instructor in the library science programs at Southern Connecticut State University and The Catholic University of America. Prior to joining Montclair State University she was an ALA/USIA Library Fellow at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam, University Librarian at the University of Richmond and the University of Bridgeport (CT), and a social sciences reference librarian at CUNY Queens College.
Dr. Hunt holds a B.A. in Latin American History from the University of Miami, an M.L.S. in Academic Librarianship from CUNY Queens College, an M.A. in British and Commonwealth History from New York University, and a D.L.S. in Library Administration from Columbia University.
