Professor of Statistics
Dr. Canner received her Ph.D. in Biomathematics and Zoology from North Carolina State University. She joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics Department at CSUMB in 2010 and since established the Statistics Minor, Data Science Minor, and the Statistics Major as the Statistics Program Coordinator. Dr. Canner is a Board Member of the California Alliance for Data Science Education. Her goal is to support the development of statistics and data science training for all students so that they are prepared for the modern workforce. When not in the classroom, you might find her hiking, playing board games, or volunteering at her church.
