Abstract

The effect of X-ray flux on periodic lattice distortion waves in YBa2Cu3O7-δ, YBCO7-δ 50nm films, on SrTiO3, is described: The flux r(ft)=d[photons]/dt induces resonant excitations: hν+YBa2Cu3O7-δ →X≠ that indicate a path for the transition: YBCO7,metal⇔X≠⇔YBCO6.5,insulator.The mole fraction, yYBCOx at r(ft) (determined by inserting Al filters ft t mil thick) obeys the relation: 1/yYBCO=1 + r(ft) T1 (fig. 1) where T1 is the X≠ lifetime and 1/T1 is of order r(f0)~1010/s achieved in synchrotrons. Figure 1: 1-12 XRD at 8.048keV, Ω=0, 298K versus φ−φ0 at different incident photon rates, r(ft). Insert shows the experimental fit 1/yYBCO=S(∞)/S(t) versus r(ft)/r(f0) to obtain T1,(1-12)=0.4/r(f0).
