About Joy Cameron-Dow

"Joy has been a wonderful colleague, and was much loved by her peers and the many students she taught. She was incredibly hard-working, self-effacing and a pleasure to be around."
Prof Tim Brailsford, Vice-Chancellor, Bond University 2015

In the words of her Dean Professor Raoul Mortley, Joy was a very honourable person, utterly courageous, and devoted to our students.
Joy originally joined Bond as a doctoral student in the 1990s after immigrating from Zimbabwe. She graduated with a PhD and commenced publishing in the areas of criminology and journalism. Joy has been teaching at Bond since that time. She taught across many subjects and levels and was known as the bedrock of the Masters program.
