About Joy Turner Washburn, EdD, RN, WHNP-BC

Dr. Joy Washburn has been faculty with the Kirkhof College of Nursing since 2001. Her area of scholarship and interest is focused on the role of health care providers in identifying and intervening in situations of possible human trafficking. She is also a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. Her teaching includes clinical and professional nursing at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and she has served as the clinical coordinator for the initial clinical/lab course in the pre-licensure BSN program I since 2007.
