About Joshua L. Rosenbloom

Joshua L. Rosenbloom is Professor of Economics and Department Chair at Iowa State University and is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, Cambridge, MA. From 1988 until 2015 he was a faculty member in the Department of Economics at the University of Kansas where he also served as Director of the Center for Business and Economic Analysis in the Institute for Policy & Social Research (2001-2006), Associate Vice Chancellor for Research & Graduate Studies (2006-2012) and Interim Dean of Graduate Studies (2011-12). He also served as Program Director for the Science of Science and Innovation Policy (SciSIP) Program at the National Science Foundation, Washington, DC from August 20012 through August 2014. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University in 1988. His research interests include the history of U.S. labor markets, the historical measurement of economic growth, labor economics and the economics of science and technology.
