About Joshua Pitts

Dr. Pitts attained his Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Mississippi State University.  His primary research interest lies in the field of sports economics, but he also has an interest in the field of labor economics, particularly in the area of labor market discrimination.  Dr. Pitts' research has appeared in the Journal of Sports Economics, Applied Economics, the Forum for Social Economics, and the Review of Black Political Economy as well as having been presented at multiple domestic and international academic conferences.  In terms of teaching, Dr. Pitts enjoys teaching courses in Sports Economics, Sports Finance, and Research Methods in the undergraduate and graduate Sport Management and Exercise Science programs at Kennesaw State.
