Abstract
In 2020, with a founding gift of $1,000,000, I set out to build the first Center for Women at Howard University. This document provides a historical blueprint of how to translate a vision into reality. It serves as a guidepost for others interested in creating Centers or Institutes on how to move from an idea/passion to a product.
