Abstract

Intra-articular bone fragments were associated with 7 of 18 humeral fractures in 18 dogs. The fragments were thin, triangular in cross-section and upto 0.5 cm long. The fragments were most commonly associated with "T" or "Y" fractures (4 of the 7 cases). The clinical importance of the fragments is unknown.
