About Joseph Isanga

Joseph Isanga’s scholarship and published works focus on international law and human rights. His studies examine rule of law in developing countries, with a specific focus on Africa. As a professor, Isanga brings many years of experience, most recently serving as an associate professor at Ave Maria School of Law in Florida. He also served as a guest scholar at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame, and as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Civil and Human Rights. Isanga received his bachelor’s degree in laws from Makerere University School of Law in Uganda, followed by a master of laws and doctor of juridical science from University of Notre Dame Law School, both summa cum laude.
