Professor Jose Gabilondo of FIU College of Law, presented his work Cuban Socialism 2.0: Priming Markets Through Peso Devaluation, this analyzes reforms that eliminate the economic vestiges of Cuba’s past as a satellite of the Soviet Union.

Presenter

Jose Gabilondo joined the College of Law after working in financial market regulation at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the World Bank. He served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs from 2009-2011 and he is currently Associate Dean for Accreditation & Reporting. Professor Gabilondo teaches corporate finance, banking regulation, tax, and Profesión Jurídica Comparada.
