About Jonathan J Nelson

Jonathan is an architectural designer and academic with research interests in Digital Design, Parametric Modelling, Digital Fabrication, File-to-factory applications, and Architectural Robotics. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Abedian School of Architecture at Bond University in Robina, Queensland, Australia where he teaches design studios and the computational design curriculum.
His most recent work includes digitally fabricated and interactive architectural lighting installations for the LUX festival in Wellington, New Zealand and the Vivid Festival in Sydney, Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Professional) from the University of Oregon, a Master of Construction Practice from Bond University.
Jonathan is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Queensland where he is part of a multidisciplinary ARC grant-funded project dealing with industrialized building systems in Australia.
