About Jon Linderman

Jon Linderman's education includes a bachelor's degree in physical education with a certificate in exercise; a master's in physical education from California State University Chico; a Ph.D. in human bioenergetics from University of California, Berkeley; and a National Research Council Fellowship at NASA/Ames Research Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a Board-Certified Exercise Physiologist (EPC) from the American Society of Exercise Physiologists.

His primary teaching at Ohio State University (1995-2000) and the University of Dayton (2000-present) has been in integrative and exercise physiology. His research has included both human and animal research in the adaptation of skeletal muscle to differing mechanical and recruitment environments, hydration, and the extremes of human performance. He has conducted research for both NASA and the U.S. Air Force. His teaching and advising prepares students for post-graduate education in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, and other allied health professions.
