About Jomon A. Paul

Dr. Jomon A. Paul is the Interim Associate Dean of Research and Accreditation and Professor of Quantitative Analysis at the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University (KSU), Georgia. Dr. Paul serves as a Senior Associate Editor for Socio-Economic Planning Sciences. He is also an American Society of Quality certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Dr. Paul teaches business analytics courses focused on optimization, statistics, simulation modeling, and decision analysis topics in the BBA and MBA programs. His primary research interests include the application of operations research, analytics, simulation, and statistical modeling to disaster planning, humanitarian logistics, homeland security, healthcare, and transportation domains.

Dr. Paul is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences, the Production and Operations Management Society, the Decision Sciences Institute, and a senior member of the American Society of Quality (ASQ). His research has appeared in premier journals such as Operations Research, Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part E, Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Emergency Medicine, Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management among several others. Dr. Paul’s research has been cited several times in high-quality papers published in Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research Part E, Decision Support Systems, Information Systems Frontiers, Annals of Operations Research, etc.

Dr. Paul was awarded the "KSU Outstanding Research and Creative Activity Award” in 2016 and the Coles College of Business "Distinguished Professor Award" in 2019. He was also awarded the “Distinguished Scholarship Award” of the Coles College of Business in 2013 and 2020. Dr. Paul has won teaching awards at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has organized and chaired sessions and presented papers at national and international conferences. He has done several lean six sigma quality and throughput improvement projects for clients that include hospitals, airports, etc.
