About Jomon A. Paul

Jomon A. Paul is the Director of Research and Professor of Quantitative Analysis at the Coles College of Business, Kennesaw State University, Georgia. He earned a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from MS University of Baroda, India. He went on to earn a M.S. in Production Systems and a Ph.D. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering both from the University at Buffalo, New York.

His primary research interests include application of operations research, simulation and statistical modeling to disaster planning (natural and man made), healthcare (throughput improvement, evaluation of health care regulations, resource allocation), and transportation (humanitarian logistics, port capacity utilization) domains.

His research has appeared in Operations Research, Transportation Research Part B, Transportation Research Part E, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Journal of Business Ethics, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Emergency Medicine, Journal of Homeland Security and Emergency Management among several others. He is an American Society of Quality (ASQ) certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He is on the Editorial Board for International Journal of Information Systems and Social Change and International Journal of R&D Innovation Strategy and serves as a reviewer for several widely recognized journals. He is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and a senior member of the ASQ.
