About Jolina C. Cuaresma

Ms. Cuaresma is a legislative and regulatory attorney with over fifteen years of private practice and government experience. She has represented companies and senior executives in investigations initiated by the Department of Justice and the Securities Exchange Committee. On behalf of Audit Committees of major corporations, she has conducted internal investigations involving financial fraud, financial reporting and disclosure improprieties, insider trading, and noncompliance with audit and regulatory standards. She has prepared witnesses for testimony before congressional oversight committees, drafted witness statements, and advised clients on proposed rulemakings. As a Federal regulator, she has experience promulgating regulations, overseeing supervision examinations, and bringing administrative enforcement proceedings. Ms. Cuaresma has particular expertise in administrative law, fintech, data and privacy, student loan servicing, automobile financing, debt collection, credit reporting, and fair lending.
