About John Nassichuk

John Nassichuk is Professor in the Department of French Studies at the University of Western Ontario. His research is in the area of French and Neo-Latin literature of the Renaissance period, with particular attention to the multiple relationships between Italian Quattrocento humanism – especially that of Naples -- and Northern Renaissance culture. He also maintains an interest in Biblical paraphrases and adaptations, both in Latin and the vernacular languages.
John Nassichuk est professeur au Département d’Etudes Françaises dans l’Université Western Ontario. Ses recherches portent sur les lettres françaises et latines de la Renaissance en Europe, avec un intérêt particulier pour les rapports multiples qui subsistent entre l’humanisme du Quattrocento en Italie – surtout à Naples – et la Renaissance du nord. Il s’intéresse également aux paraphrases, réécritures et adaptations bibliques, tant en latin que dans les langues vernaculaires.
