Abstract
An annotated translation of an obituary notice of Angelo Oliva (1777-1835), a Vincentian brother. He came to the United States from Naples, and oversaw the building and decoration of the Assumption Church at St. Mary's of the Barrens, Perryville, Missouri. This is one of the few biographies of a lay brother.
