Vincent de Paul's World of Animals.pdf

Abstract
A review of more than 650 references to animals in the extant writings of Vincent de Paul. He employed these references to offer examples for righteous living. They demonstrate his background as a person who grew up in the rural south. The study is divided into domesticated animals, birds and invertebrates, aquatic creatures, and others, both real and mythical. His regular hearers, the Daughters of Charity and the members of the Congregation of the Mission, loved his talks where many of these references appear.
