Abstract
The author, Jean-Marie Planchet, C.M., a member of the Congregation of the Mission (or Lazarists), recounts the history of the Lazarists in Suanhoafou (Xuanhuafu). He bases his work on original documents, and provides several maps and illustrations. Since much of the information is unavailable elsewhere, this translation was undertaken. These documents offer new lights on the Boxers and other uprisings. The list of names of pastors and parishes is informative.
