Abstract

It is shown that, contrary to the prevalent view, the Fourier method can be used to obtain information about the effect of boundary conditions on numerical stability. Work performed under Nuclear Regulatory Commission Contract Number AT(10-1)-1375. At the time of publishing, John Ramshaw was employed at Aerojet Nuclear Company.
