Abstract

The caddisflies (Trichoptera) of Schoolhouse Springs, Jackson Parish, Louisiana, have been studied since 1959, first by H.H. Ross and some of his collegues and subsequently by several of his students. At least 43 species of caddisflies have been captured in or beside the spring, one of which (belonging to the genus Diplectrona, Hydropsychidae) is described in this paper.
