About John Kiff

I've been a Senior Financial Sector Expert at the International Monetary Fund since 2005. Prior to that, I worked at the Bank of Canada, where I was involved in various financial markets analytic and trading activities. Starting in 1999, I was heavily involved in several BIS working groups that focused on credit risk transfer markets, and published a number of articles and papers around these projects. At the IMF, I am part of the team that produces the semi-annual Global Financial Stability Report, and have continued to publish articles and papers on risk transfer markets. More recently I've been focusing on mortgage markets.
