About John A. Inglis

Dr. John Inglis is the chair of the Department of Philosophy. Hired to complement the University of Dayton's Catholic mission, Dr. Inglis teaches courses that survey two thousand years of Christian intellectual endeavor. He devotes significant attention to the Islamic and Jewish thought of the Middle Ages which prepared the way for the Christian renaissance of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. In addition to philosophy courses, Dr. Inglis also teaches courses for the Department of Religious Studies.
