Abstract
This presentation will explore several academic innovations which – after implementation were assessed to determine if they enhanced student learning in a high volume online course.  Success stories include reduced tutoring time, decreased failure rate and decreased withdrawal rate.  A side benefit was lowered extraneous workload. The methods used to assess these innovations will also be discussed.  We will also discuss other planned innovations and how they will be assessed.
