Dr. John H. Bickford III is a former Mid-Prairie (IA) Middle School social studies teacher. He currently is an Associate Professor of Middle Level Education at Eastern Illinois University. He teaches and has research interests in social studies education pedagogy, particularly history literacy, historical thinking, and historical argumentation.
