About John R. Haughery

Dr. Haughery’s research agenda includes both the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and advanced manufacturing systems. While these may appear dissimilar in nature, he sees them as strongly linked through the diverse field of human-machine interaction. A main focus of Haughery’s SoTL research examines the impact that robotic experiences can have on undergraduate students, faculty, and departments. These impacts include student/faculty engagement, student learning, and economics of time and cost. In Haughery’s advanced manufacturing research, he is interested in how humans interact with, and are impacted by, collaborative industrial robotics. Additionally, his group develops technologies to improve electric motor efficiencies.
