Abstract

As the author, I seek to contribute to on-going explorations of the strengths and limits of instructional technologies. The essay suggests that, although e-learning and technology offer potentially significant pedagogical benefits, their use also risks gravely compromising the learning process. The essay concludes with a call to academics, policy makers, and the general public to think critically about what is required for pedagogical success in today's diverse teaching and learning environments.
