About John Bershaw

My research and teaching fits broadly within Earth Science including Paleoclimate, Stable Isotope Geochemistry, Stratigraphy, and Basin Analysis. I have published on the uplift history of the Altiplano, Pamir, Tibetan Plateau, and the Cascades. In addition, I am interested in atmospheric circulation and isotope evolution in central Asia and the Pacific Northwest. Recently, I have been working on a Department of Energy project investigating geothermal potential in the Portland Metro area. Lastly, I have a pilot project on cannabis terroir in southern Oregon.
