The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) is now recognized and supported at many universities as legitimate research that can provide an evidence base for instruction that leads to increased student learning. With their varied programs, expansive faculty expertise, and multiple instructional settings, Kinesiology departments are well-suited for collaborative, team research in the SoTL paradigm. The purpose of this program is to present opportunities and offer suggestions for conducting SoTL in Kinesiology departments by leveraging the diversity of expertise inherent in those departments. The program will include placing audience members in groups to discuss possible collaborative SoTL projects.
