About Joan Sauvigne-Kirsch

Joan Sauvigne-Kirsch, Ed.D, OTR/L is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department and Assistant Fieldwork Coordinator in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University. Her teaching responsibilities focus on fieldwork and health policy and law. Dr. Sauvigne-Kirsch's scholarly interests include health education and policy and school practice. She is also active in the American Occupational Therapy Association and Connecticut Occupational Therapy Association. She received the American Occupational Therapy Association award in 1997 and 2000 and a service commendation in 2018 for co-presenting Pediatric Virtual Chat, State Leaders in Education Community of Practice.
