About Joachim Funke

I am interested in the way people deal with complexity and uncertainty. This field - sometimes labelled "complex problem solving", sometimes "dynamic decision making" - is emerging, at least in Europe. It uses computer-simulated scenarios as tool for presenting complex situations to a decision maker.
Our Heidelberg research group develops new assessment instruments and runs basic and applied research in this area.
