Abstract
In this gallery, explore assorted maps and government publications that highlight the history and unique environmental features found in two of Kentucky's most popular tourism destinations: Mammoth Cave National Park and Daniel Boone National Forest. Located only a few hours' drive from Lexington, both of these places exemplify the unique beauty and important ecological features found in Kentucky. As you examine the gallery images, take time to study the changing boundaries and names, the assorted recreational activities, and the general ecological features of each area.
