When Ellen G. White died on July 16, 1915, she left behind nearly 2,000 books in her library. From the inventory made of her library after her death, A Bibliography of Ellen G. White’s Private and Office Libraries was compiled. Using this publication, this research project is an evaluation of Ellen G. White’s library with emphasis on subject analysis. It provides a descriptive study of the library collection, and investigates the subject coverage of the collection. Data shows that the subject of religion and things related to it make up the bulk of the collection. This is not surprising given the subject matter of much of Mrs. White’s writings. Religion is followed at a distance by history and then books on language and use of words. The researchers provided their observations and an analysis of the data.
