About Jill Manit

Jill Manit, Ph.D., MSW is the MSW Program Director and Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work at Sacred Heart University. She brings with her experience in program planning, implementation and evaluation, community coalition building and public administration. Other research interests include policy implementation, faith-based approaches for prevention and early detection of HIV/AIDS, and implementation of comprehensive assessment systems. Jill is also the recipient of several grants focusing on policy practice in field education planning through expansion, literacy efforts in elementary schools and enhancing behavioral health training for social workers in Nevada. She also has experience in the community capacity working with substance abuse prevention and grant writing and management and program development. Jill currently teaches in the online graduate social work program.
