About Jiancheng Liu

Dr. Liu's research experience and teaching interests are in the area of manufacturing and precision machine tools, with a focus on advanced CNC machine tool technologies, precision machine design and computer aided manufacturing, intelligent sensor signal and image processing and its application in manufacturing, and various machining processes including mechanical micro-machining. With his experience in academia and industry, he has published over 100 technical journals and conference papers and was awarded 5 patents. Many of his research results have been practically applied and successfully implemented as commercial products. Among his many honors is the Industrial LEAD Award from Society of Manufacturing Engineering in 2001.
