Abstract
NYU Law School will host a symposium about Professor Jessica Roth's recent article, The "New" District Court Activism in Criminal Justice Reform on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 2-4 pm. The panel focuses on the role of federal district court judges in spurring criminal justice reform through non-binding dicta and extrajudicial activity and features leading members of the federal judiciary and the academy, including the Hon. Denny Chin, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; The Honorable John Gleeson, formerly United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York; Professor Jessica Roth; Professor Frank Bowman; Professor Bruce Green; Professor Rebecca Roiphe; Professor Kate Stith; and Professor Ellen Yaroshefsky.
