Abstract

S&DI assessed Digital Collections when the William H. Hannon Library CONTENTdm instance became unsupported. Quartex has changed library's capability to manage digital assets, unify workflows with Archives and Special Collections, and provide patrons with a dynamic experience with a modern interface. William H. Hannon Library selected Quartex, a fully-hosted solution, because its potential to develop a Digital Collection with greater UI and UX. In addition, Quartex, unlike many systems, allows for the ingest of different types of formats, including video formats. Because of Quartex, the library can consolidate our video streaming system and Digital Collections. As the product is still new to the market, S&DI sees the potential and growing features of Quartex by Adam Matthew as a benefit to the LMU community.
