About Jeremy Oliver, M.Div.

Jeremy currently serves as Assistant Professor of Applied Theology at Cedarville University.  Beyond this, he has a wide range of other ministry and educational experiences including serving in pastoral ministry for over a decade, serving as a Visiting Professor and Adjunct Professor at various colleges and seminaries, as well as serving as a Spiritual Life Director, Bible Instructor, and Bible Department Head for a Christian preparatory school.  In his role with the Christian preparatory school, he developed and implemented a new scope and sequence for the Bible department, facilitated a community service program, and oversaw the execution of thirty-nine mission trips. In addition, he also administrated a cohort extension of a graduate program in biblical counseling and served as a ministry and academic mentor for the students in the program.  Lastly, he serves with Soul Care Consulting, most recently as a co-author of the Freedom Group curriculum.
 
Jeremy has teaching experience in a variety of subjects including biblical counseling, biblical studies, ethics, comparative world religions, historical and systematic theology, and apologetics. 
 
Regarding his education, Jeremy Oliver is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in biblical studies with an emphasis in biblical counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  In his Ph.D., a particular area of interest is the history of pastoral care. He holds an M.Div. from Faith Bible Seminary, an M.A. in liberal studies with an emphasis in history from Valparaiso University, and a B.A. in history with a minor in philosophy from Indiana University. He is also certified in biblical counseling through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.
 
He and his wife, Jen, were married in 2006 and God has blessed them with two children.
