About Jennifer Hammitt

Jennifer Hammitt recently graduated with her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, Class of 2011, summa cum laude. She was a proud recipient of the Soia Mentschikoff Scholarship. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of New Mexico. She is a member of the University of Miami Law Review and the University of Miami Moot Court Board, and serves as the Student Editor for Jotwell: The Journal of Things We Like (Lots), a legal academia weblog (www.jotwell.com). A former Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala, Jennifer worked with the homeless population of Miami as a 2009 Florida Bar Foundation Legal Aid Summer Fellow at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc. Jennifer will be starting her career with the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of General Counsel in Washington D.C. after graduation, where she will work on issues of Environmental Law, Administrative Law, and Internet Law.
