About Jennie Chainey

Jennie Chainey is a Research Fellow with the Education and Development team at ACER. Jennie has worked internationally with UN agencies, supporting government Ministries in the implementation of complex education programs.  Since 2015, Jennie has been Project Coordinator for the ACER’s Southeast Asia Primary Learning Metric (SEA-PLM) project. In this role she has provided remote and in-country technical support for each SEA-PLM participating country, and monitored assessment processes and practices. Ms. Chainey has conducted focus group discussions and key informant interviews with key stakeholders to collect feedback on the implementation of the SEA-PLM Field Trial for the purpose of continuous improvement and quality assurance, and reported on each country’s Field Trial.
Prior to joining ACER, Ms. Chainey worked in the Solomon Islands and the Philippines in support of Red Cross. Her experience includes undertaking research, reviewing community education programs and coordinating projects, stakeholder consultations, capacity diagnostic workshops and capacity development training. She has extensive experience supporting the preparation of education programs, designing feedback mechanisms and collating results, developing budgets, monitoring expenditure and reporting project outcomes.
