About Jeffrey Rose, MD, FACS

Dr. Jeffrey Rose is a board-certified general surgeon and is one of four surgeons who perform weight loss procedures for patients at the Obesity Center for Surgery & Treatment at North Florida Regional Healthcare.
Dr. Rose completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, graduating in 1993 with degrees in biochemistry and physics. He completed his medical education at the University of Florida School of Medicine and remained there for his internship and residency in general surgery. Dr. Rose was chief surgical resident while at the University of Florida.
Now a general surgeon with the Surgical Group of Gainesville, Dr. Rose was previously a general surgeon with St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center and Chief of General Surgery at the United States Air Force Academy. He is a member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, the American Medical Association and the American College of Surgeons.
