About Jeanmarie Hamilton Boone

Dr. Jeanmarie Hamilton Boone is assistant professor of education in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology at Pepperdine University, where she leads graduate seminars for masters and teacher credential candidates in second language acquisition, secondary methods and cultural diversity. Prior to joining Pepperdine, Dr. Hamilton Boone taught high school English and English as a Second Language and English Language Development, Chaired the English Development Department. As a researcher, her areas interest continue to be quality education issues related to traditionally underserved student populations, English learners, boys education and teacher preparation.
Dr. Hamilton Boone earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Long Beach, and her Ph.D. Claremont Graduate University in Education with an emphasis on Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology.
