About Jay A. Switzer

Dr. Switzer joined Missouri S&T in 1990 as professor of chemistry and senior investigator. He works in the areas of inorganic materials chemistry, electrochemistry, nanoscale materials, environmental chemistry, energy conversion and storage. He has dedicated his research to the electrodeposition of nanostructured metal oxide ceramics such as semiconductors, magnetic materials and catalysts with a goal to exploit the wet aspects of electrodeposition to produce architectures which may not be accessible to UHV methods.
