From La Lézarde to Failles: Righting/Writing the Faulted House

Abstract
Herbeck examined the construction of houses (architecture) and the construction of literary works (architexture) in two novels from Guadeloupe and Haiti. In particular, he presented the novels as examples of “literature of construction,” the latter (Failles, or Faults in English) in the context of the rebuilding effort in post-earthquake Haiti.
