About Jason Prevelige

Jason Prevelige, DMSc, MBA, PA-C, is an Adjunct Instructor of Physician Assistant studies in the College of Health Professions at Sacred Heart University. Dr. Prevelige is a practicing physician associate (PA) of over fourteen years specializing in emergency medicine and pediatrics. He is a vocal advocate for his profession and patients, currently serving the American Academy of Physician Associates as President-elect, with a number of years of experience in other roles on commissions, committees, in the House of Delegates, and on the Board of Directors prior to his most recent election. He also has served the Connecticut Academy of PAs (ConnAPA) in various roles, with a decade on the Board of Directors, including two terms as President. He currently serves as the chair of the Legislative Committee for ConnAPA. Jason was active in the formation of PA program at SHU, serving on the advisory committee and continues as a lecturer in emergency medicine and pediatrics. He also serves as a clinical preceptor for PA students from SHU and several other programs. As a graduate of SHU, he was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2019 by the Alumni Association. He was bestowed the honor of Distinguished Fellow by the AAPA in 2021. He has also received multiple honors from ConnAPA including a Certificate of Appreciation, the President's Award, Leadership Award, Service Award and Initiative Award. His alma mater, Quinnipiac University, awarded him the PA Program Distinguished Alumni award in 2017.
